Toyota clinched the first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) Manufacturers Championship at the Homestead-Miami Speedway with sixth place from Kyle Busch on Sunday to win the title in Toyota’s tenth cup competition.
Camry drivers won 16 out of 36 races to win the NSCS Manufacturers Championship in the season finale. The championship is the first manufacturing title for Toyota in the Cup Series, and Toyota has now secured the Manufacturers’ title in all three NASCAR National Touring series.

Five Camry riders collected 16 wins in 36 races in the 2016 season, including 12 wins from Joe Gibbs Racing and four from Furniture Row Racing. Busch and Martin Truex Jr. led the group four wins apiece, while Carl Edwards (three wins), Denny Hamlin (two) and Matt Kenseth (two) also triumphed in 2016.
In addition to securing the 2016 NSCS Manufacturers ‘Championship, Toyota won the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Manufacturers’ title at the Phoenix International Raceway and the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) Manufacturers Championship at Homestead. , Toyota drivers also won several championships in the NASCAR series, with Daniel Suarez winning the drivers championship in the NXS and Kyle Busch Motorsports clinching the title in the NCWTS.
Toyota first entered the 2007 NSCS competitions and the 2016 season marks the tenth year of the Camry, which starts at the highest Nascar level. Since entering the NSCS competition, Toyota has won 95 races and won 90 poles in 360 races.
